I was born and raised in Indiana. My first taste of woodworking was during a three dimensional arts class at Indiana University. I made a 6' tall Frankenstein's Monster figure with moving arms, legs, and head.

I didn't have an opportunity to try my hand at woodworking again until I was 30. My wife and I needed a tv stand and at least one other table. I work at a pawn shop and my boss let me borrow tools to make them.

I enjoyed the experience so much that I continue to grow and develop my skills. I am and remain self-taught. Though I think I would enjoy a class or two in the future to improve hand tool techniques and efficiency. I usually start each piece on my bandsaw, finish with hand tools, and LOTS of hand sanding.

I don't have a desire to sell any of my work yet. I am happy just to grow and evolve my skills at the present time.
