I am just getting started in woodworking and just looking to increase my knowledge bank and find out what tools are the best for the best price.
Update 4/21/09
Just purchased my first table saw, a Grizzly 0576, and I got it for a steal at $350. It had been taken apart by previous owner to clean and he purchased a new Steel City cabinet saw so I was able to afford a high quality saw. I know it will last me for years to come. I am slowly building up my collection of tools. Next purchase will probably be a portable 12" planer as my garage is my shop.

Re: Still don't have a workbench? This one is easy
Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this workbench in a "knock-down" version? I dont have the space to leave it erected permanently, I do have the need for a solid bench. Any ides on the modification of the legs to make them so they retract and I can put it away when not in use?

Great project!!! What did you use to build it with (i.e. wood)? What types of joints?
