Re: UPDDATE: Shop Improvements: Outstanding ideas from the world's finest woodworkers from Fine Woodworking magazine

Great book! I want a copy. Count me in!

Re: Use wedges to edge glue thin boards

I use this technique to glue up the two halves of my bookmatched harp backs. Yes, the weight on the joint is needed to keep the two thin boards from buckling.

Re: Norm Abram at Old Sturbridge Village

Norm's love of the craft and his eagerness to share it with us all has inspired me to continue improving my woodworking skills and take on projects I didn't think I could do. Though the show has ended, I forward to seeing him on TOH and whatever else he takes on. Let's celebrate Norm's great accomplishment of being on the air for 21 years, sharing his joy of working with wood and the encouragement the show gave us to try new techiques and projects.
Norm, Rock on!

Re: Irish folk harp

Hi, Jemmy!, sorry for the delay in writing. I don't have rights to the plan, as I bought the plans as part of a kit. The kit contained the hardware and full scale plans; I bought and cut all the wood.
I can't recommend the plan due to the fact the soundboard has separated from the soundbox since I took the photo. The soundboard has to be mechanically fastened to the soundbox to counter the large amount of force created by the strings.

I plan to design my own folk harp this year. Thanks for the compliment!
