Re: Updated: Stanley Sells Delta Tools to Taiwanese Company
The people in charge of making this decision ought to be ashamed of themselves. Obviously they are part of the problem here in the US. I'm in complete agreement w/ trduff. I go out of my way to outfit my shop with US made tools, even at greater expense. It's a matter of pride for God sake. My family comes from the gunmaking industry here in CT and I am proud to make my products on US made tools some of which were my fathers tools. I recently had to refurbish my US made Delta shaper spindle and after learning it would cost over $300 dollars and 2-3 weeks to get a new one, I decided to refurbish the one I have (It helps that my brother owns a precision grinding shop).

Just the thoughts of a small town woodworker.
