Re: Is the Radial Arm Saw on its Last Legs?

I have an older Craftsman 12" radial arm saw that I would love to use, but I can't get it to make accurate cuts. When I set the blade square to the table, then slide the blade carriage all the way out to its farthest point, the blade is about 3 degrees out of square. I have checked that the table is dead flat, so it seems that the rails that the carriage rides on are twisted.

Since I can't figure out how to fix this issue, my RAS is resigned to being a shop apron hanger.

Re: UPDATED: What Tools Are on Your Holiday Wish List?

I want my brand new LN low-angle block plane not to look like I dropped it on a concrete floor my first time using it. That little mistake bent both the adjustable mouth plate and the side rail of the body.
