Which is your preferred material for blades in bench planes, cryo-treated A2 or oil hardened O1 and why? Do A2 blades keep a sharp, clean cutting edge for bevel angles 30 degrees or less? Thanks, Robert Jensen, Camarillo, CA

Re: Retirement living for woodworkers

My father-in-law lived in Del Web's Sun City West near Phoenix 8 years ago. While living there, he was the shop supervisor and gave free woodworkng instruction. I saw the shop and it was quite impressive.
