My name is Dennis Caskey. I have been woodworking for about 12 years now. I build most of my projects just for the shear enjoyment of woodworking, but I have also built a few things for profit as well.

I have built a wide array of projects in the past. I have a passion for trying new techniques and challenging my woodworking abilities. From larger furniture projects, to small hand held mirrors, and all sizes of projects in between. Every project that I build is unique and truly hand crafted.

For almost 20 years now I have been a designer in the plastic injection molding industry. I have used several Computer Aided Design (CAD) software packages over the years. I have been applying my knowledge of CAD to design woodworking projects for several years now. I completely design my projects in 3D, create a Bill of Materials, and a complete set of prints to build them projects from.

Hi Patrick,

Great article. I like your comment "Don’t waste time with low value areas or keep hanging around for a straggling sale or two." Too many people get caught up in trying to make something happen when it just isn't going to. People miss opportunities because they are focusing in the wrong places.
