Thumbed through this book in Barnes and Noble. Would make a nice addition to my stuffed bookcases, along with many other Taunton publications. Put my name in the hat. Thanks.
Sounds like Mr. Pierce has been in my shop. Seems like no matter how many machines I use in the building of a project, some type of plane gets pulled out to complete the job. Mostly a hand plane, but sometimes a smoother to get 2 adjacent surfaces level. Love to get my hands on this book.
Would love to dive into some more photos and comments of the timeless work of this master. I have the book that chronicles the life/work of Esherick, Maloof and Nakashima and it is a real treat. These are some of the finest craftsmen of our era.
Sounds like something I should have read years ago. Could have saved me some headaches. Some early articles only briefly touched on the subject of wood movement and properties. The videos sound like a great way to get into a class without the travel.
For Christmas I would like not to be so rushed to get a project completed in time for Christmas. I seem to do this each year. Other than that, a nice Steel City dual drum sander sure would lessen the sanding chores somewhat.
