My first full time job was in a lumber yard. I always liked building things, but have only seriously done woodworking for the last 4 years. I would like to spend more time making furniture, and I like simple, functional pieces more than the complex, artistic pieces that I sometimes indulge in. Blanket chests are my favorite project. Every now and then I will make a piece based on someone elses plans, but for the most part, I prefer to make one-off pieces of my own creation.
