Shop Layout
Tried the shop layout tool--a bit slow and cumbersome but this is where I got to.
Cherry Screwdriver
I made this screwdriver from an off-cut from some 2x2 cherry table legs. I turned the cherry block on my drill press using the hanger bolt adapter shown. The ferule is a plumbing part I found and the...

Re: Fine Woodworking Magazine Goes Digital
I would prefer PDF's (like some of your competitors do). The new format is not really very easy to navigate, nor is it portable to. PDF solves both problems.

Really, couldn't fit that drawer too soon.
I can't imagine a fit that's better.

Re: A Brand New Bench Video!
I agree with the other comments that workbench design, and Roubo-style workbenches in particular, have been thoroughly explored in my "other favorite" woodworking magazine. It would be nice to see FWW cover other, less well plowed territory.

I remember getting the early black and white FWW issues and the B&W only Kindle seems like a step back in time that would not be good.

I wish this site would move from Flash based video to HTML5 or other iPod/iPhone-friendly movie, but flash works great on the desktop. It has always seemed funny to me that FWW seems worried about copying videos and so uses Flash, but nicely has PDFs here for the magazine content.
Having a small screen optimized (iPhone/iPod etc) mobile version of the site would be great too! I know others are doing this!

The Lie-Nielsen stuff is great! Tom L-N has been a great friend to the woodworking world by making it possible to keep the hand-tool tradition alive and prospering. With L-N, would you have had a tablesaw vs handsaw tenon shoot out?
