I live in a small town on the Oregon coast. It is difficult and costly to get to the many training classes offered by experts. Consequently,I am in the process of honing my wood turning skills by reading and watching. I have several books and DVDs. The information presented by Raffen, Lacer, Tibbetts, and many others is invaluable if you are able to transfer what you read and observe to your chisel work at the lathe.
