Great job! This is a first project to be proud of. If you guys are like most the piece will soon be too small for all of the "stuff" that will get put in there. That will lead to another project. Keep up the great work.

A dovetail joint is one of many that should be mastered by any serious woodworker. It is a means to an end, thats all. As long as the construction technique aligns with the purpose and reason for making the project you can't lose.

Super job! I really like this piece. The combination of the paint and finish give it an eclectic mix that works very well. I will keep this technique in mind.
