Re: UPDATE: Building Doors & Drawers by Andy Rae
How to books are not only a look into the past but a look into the future. You can gain knowledge from each one you read even if it is on the same subject. There is always a tip or or solution to make one a step closer to become a better craftsman. Thanks for the chance to increase my library for free!!

You can be the best hand cut dovetailer, fit the tightest tennons, have perfectly fitted joints and have the squarest corners of all. The last operation is the finishing. (correctly named) This is a great book and I still use it on every refinishing project for re-asurement which leads to my high expectations of how someone critiques my work.

Re: Norm Abram at Old Sturbridge Village
I only wish my father were alive to enjoy what Norm has brought to all of us over the years. My father also was a master carpenter. Only after his death did I realize what a void in learning I would have. When Norm popped on the scene it was a great revelation, after watching a few episodes I then knew I had a new mentor. Thanks for all that you taught us Norm!!
