If this award is considered taxable, which I know most of it is: $1.5 million - 40% tax = $600K going to the government. Government must be paid before lawyer. Now $1.5 million - 50% to the lawyers for their work = $150K to the plaintiff for being stupid or careless. ($750k - 40% for taxes paid by the lawyers ='s another $300K to the government) 750K + 300K = 1.050 million for taxes. Wonder how much the state and city gets out of the original?

Ever wonder why the government (state and federal) made up mainly of lawyers, allows these lawsuits to happen?
