Re: Adapted Shaker Desk for student

Spectacular job by all involved. It's great to see that kids with interest in woodworking are able to learn no matter what their limitations. Kudos to you and your school for including him!

Re: NHL Stanley Cup

Very cool! Get ready to engrave Miller, Pominville, Gaustad, etc this coming June.

Re: Andy's Box

The figure on the inside is amazing! I'd hate to put anything in the box because it would cover that up.

Re: Chess / Checkers Set

Nicely done! I like the idea of putting in a few extra pieces.

Re: Hickory Rocker

I LOVE the laminated rockers. Really sets the design apart from the ordinary.

Re: Bathroom Cabinet with Curved Doors

I have found concave curves a LOT tougher than convex. Nice work.

Re: coffee table

I like the live edge on the stretcher. It's a detail I've not seen on other examples. Well done.

Re: Cherry Pool Table Light

My only suggestion would be to raise it up a bit. It would be a shame to see such a nice piece done in by an errant cue stick.

Re: Pennsylvania Entertainment Chest

What a great idea for hiding a new piece of technology in an old form. Nicely done!

Re: Twin bed tables

Nicely done. I really like the design of the drawer pulls.

Re: 1000 Year Old Redwood

Can't wait to see what the combination of this wood and your talent will produce. Make sure to post a picture of whatever the finished project is.

Re: Drawer chest

I love the re-use of wood. I've done some pallet wood projects in the past and can't stand to see "good" wood being sent to the dump. Nicely done.

Re: Small Red Oak Bench

Step one: Measure cat.
Step two: Design bench.

Re: The Wand Chooses the Wizard

Very fun. I love the variety.

Re: greene and greene blanket chest

Spectacular!

Re: The Allium Floor Lamp in Green

I love the design but prefer the natural wood tones of the other one. Just personal preference. Nice work

Re: red oak end table

Very nice suite of furniture. Keep challenging yourself, you're work will get even better.

Re: Rope handle spices up a tea box

Very interesting handle design.

Re: "Music Box"

Fantastic! I love how you matched the grain on the two "back" walls.

Re: Slider Box

I love the use of the nut slice for an accent. Nice touch.

Re: We're Giving Away Grooving Planes!

These plane irons hold an edge so sharp I can easily plane this highly figured maple even after shavnig my head with them.

Re: Jersey Chair

I really like the sweeping curve on the sides. Looks comfy.

Re: walnut slab coffee table

Very nice piece. I especially like the tree-to-table pics. The shot of the two raw slabs is impressive.

Re: NookBook

Very cool! I've made several styles of book shaped boxes and never thought of this application. Nice job.

Re: UPDATE: Book Giveaway: The Frugal Woodturner by Ernie Conover

Ernie's books and videos are a great way to learn turning. That and practice, practice, practice.

Re: Alice the Tiny Box

Brian - Don't let the ranting of one random guy get you down. I like the boxes and am glad you are enjoying and learning. I also concentrate on smaller projects. Keep up the woodworking.

Re: UPDATE: Book Giveaway: The Wood Finisher's Handbook by Sam Allen

This would be a very welcome addition to my library.

Re: Nut cracker 2009

John -

Thanks for the input. I doubt Dad will get one this year for Christmas - probably next year.

Re: Nut cracker 2009

Nicely done. I'm interested in the size as I have some black walnut and some black walnuts. Any hints?
