Re: Tablesaw Safety Goes Under the Microscope--Again
Just curious as to when this technolgy will need to be added to jointers, routers, chop saws, hand drills, the worst injury I ever received was from a hand drill. How about an ax?
posted: 11:13 am on February 9thWhy stop with table saws? Some idiot some where is going to cut/injure themselves with something that drills, chops, cuts, mortices, or hacks.
So 10 idiots a day cut themselves what about the thousands that don't?
Re: UPDATE: Book Giveaway: Esherick, Maloof, Nakashima: Homes of the Master Wood Artisans by Tina Skinner
Certainly these are three of the master craftsman that deserve to have their homes featured in a book. This book would make a great Christmas present.

Re: Katrina woodworking shop
Nice shop but I'm curious as to why in all of the shops I see people take their dust collection systems overhead.
posted: 11:16 am on August 6thI just built a new 1000 sq ft shop and placed my dust collection systen under the floor. It makes sense to me that your dust collections system has to work harder to suck dust up rather than down, which is the way gravity works. Was their a reason to go over head?

Not sure why you would take a Stanley #6 plane and turn it into a 4 1/2. Why not just buy a 4 1/2?
