Oak Shop Stool

This project began when my dad (a GREAT craftsman) and I got into a friendly discussion on how small chair legs could be and still hold you.  He said that "1 inch was way too small"nbsp...

Cherry Treasure Box

After 25 years of not doing any woodworking, I decided to learn some hand-cut joinery and maybe do a few projects.  Here's my first box.  It's a "Cherry Treasure Box"...

Re: Arts and Crafts Coffee Table - Two Flavours

Very nice work. Thanks for showing it off. I love being able to see it in two different woods.

Re: Correspondence Box

When you do the Resolute Desk (with hidden compartments) let me know. You do very nice work. Love the little details.

Thanks.

Re: Cherry Burl Pen

That's what a pen should look like. I've been toying with trying to do a pen. This is a really nice example of how to do it right.

Thanks.

Re: Walnut & Spalted Maple Box

That's really nice. I like the idea of carving the legs from the side piece, rather than add it on. Seeing the grain move across the curves is subtle. But it's those subtle details that make a piece stand out in a crowd.

Thanks for posting it.

Re: Bow Arm Morris Chair

Very nicely done. Although I like the quartersawn oak look, I really like how the cherry looks. You may have talked me into using cherry on mine.

Thanks for sharing.

Re: Jewelry Box

Nice job! I like the inlay details.

What are the sizes?

Re: Garden tote is easy and useful

It's raining here today and should continue tomorrow. So my kids and I are going to build a few of these tomorrow. We'll probably make a day of it.

Thanks for the TIMELY article.
