I made a few like these for Christmas presents once. This look almost identical to one I made and a great way to use up some scraps. (I'm a little cheap.) Kind of a fun project, not complicated, but I learned some gluing and finishing tricks.

Re: Bird's Eye Maple Cabinets with Walnut Joinery Accents
Very nice. Truly a unique kitchen.

I think it might complement your project.
Re: Hall Table
Very nice. I like the general concept a lot. Especially the curved legs and top. I've always liked the maple cherry or maple walnut combinations.

I bought the plans off E-Bay. They are still there.
The major changes I made were to the Door and Drawer fronts which I made using Frame / Stile construction.
Also, I changed the joinery to be a little stronger for the case and drawers. (Biscuits instead of just but joints and dovetailing on the drawers. )
I changed the materials using limited plywood, and cut a spalted maple board into veneer for the drawer/door fronts.
