Claremore, OK, US

Been in woodworking about 10 years as a hobby. I have been turning most of that time and only recently (last 2 years) gotten into flat work. Took classes and loved it. Safety is always a concern for me and I try to not act impulsively. My husband an I have 4 married children and 12 grandchildren who keep us busy. I belong to the Northeast Oklahoma Woodturner's Association in Tulsa. We are a very active group involved in community growth. I also am a member of the Rogers County Woodworker's Association. We meet in members shops and share new skills. I love the new skills I have learned and want to learn more.

What a Wonderful Gift

My shop is a gift from my husband. Obviously, I am a lucky girl. I would like to add to it by taking the compressor and dust collector out into their own space. I am taking furniture building classes...

Wow! What a great tool. I am a learner and really need constant instruction. Thanks for the opportunity to win this great set.

Re: UPDATE: Carving in the Round by Andrew Thomas and How to Carve Wood by Richard Butz

Have done some light carving. Need to expand. These books look like they might just be the thing. As a turner and woodworker, the possibilities are limitless.
