I would like more information on the SawStop technology. Is it available after-market? Can it be added to any table saw? If it is something that can be added by a user, not the manufacturer, it seems to me it is the responsibility of the individual to either take advantage of it or not. Otherwise, I would agree with the writer above - you get what you pay for - including the risk! if you don't pay for the safety features. But I'm glad riving knives are standard and hopefully the brake will be someday too. I like my fingers.
