Re: Top-Notch Tools for Less: WoodRiver's New V3 Block Planes

I prefer my tools and equipment to come from overseas-- JET are the mainstays in my shop.

I get more for my dollar, and American firms can keep up or follow Delta.

Carry on.

Re: Simple Solution to a Potential Shop Hazard: The SafetyGate Outlet Adapter

Another solution looking for a problem.

Fishing lure.

Re: Total garage shop makeover

My only suggestion is this: correct the vocabulary before you publish it in Fine Homebuilding. :)

You didn't raise the rafters. You raised the collar ties. The rafters remain in their original position.

Re: Planer sled for warped wide boards

Jock, if you were truly cheap, you'd ask yourself why the rubber tubing runs the length of the jig.

If you snip small pieces, you could get DOZENS of jigs or replacements out of one piece of surgical tubing.

THAT'S cheap. Others are merely contenders to the title. :)

Re: Secret Door Bookcase

It's quite a bookcase! Very impressive.

There occurs to me, however, a question.

Wouldn't the secret door be more secret if you didn't post pictures of it on the internet? :)

Beautiful job!

Re: Battle on Shaker Field

Is this a bad time to point out that when one sets up a chess board, one puts the white squares on the right?

Re: Pinewood Derby: An entrance ramp to woodworking

I've always thought they should have an Adult Unlimited Pinewood Derby, for those of us who are still eight in our minds, but are adults as far as our pocketbooks and shops are concerned.

Re: Ribbon Box

I'd be very interested in knowing how the ribbons were curled.

Thank you!
