Re: Is the Radial Arm Saw on its Last Legs?

I owned one of these way back in the seventies. At that time it was an extremely popular tool. I had a serious accident (lost my left eye) when a piece of heavy plywood I was ripping "exploded". Two months in hospital I GAVE it to a fellow woodworker who admired it. The tool is certainly dangerous and there are many better solotions around.
