Re: Why do you work wood?

For me it is stress relief. Because I am dealing with really sharp things that move really fast you have to pay attention or you can lose bits of yourself. So for an hour in the shop I have to forget everything else. Which means work goes away as does stress. The fact that I get useful things at the end is a bonus.

Re: This is what happens when Roy Underhill meets a SawStop

It is inconceivable to me that a video about such a great safety product would include such obviouslly unsafe practices as no safety glasses or hearing protection.

Underhill and SawStop should be ashamed of putting this out

Re: Plywood for Fine Furniture

I agree with PDX Bob for me it is mainly a function of saving rare wood by use of veneer panels. Also because I am a pure amateur my mistakes alone could cost us a giant redwood if I used pure hardwood.

Re: Poll: What hand tools are on your holiday wish list?

Would love a new bow saw. My old one is an antique that deserves a place of honour on the wall.
