Born in Riverside IL 1930, Riverside Schools, Dartmouth College. Worked in manufacturing management with several companies in Chicago Area. Started my own business in 1951 making and selling CB and amatuer radio antennas. Married Mildred Lentz in 1956 and we had three children, Robert, Susan and Janet. We have lived in Riverside Il, Brookfield Il, Glen Ellyn IL, Yardly PA, Downers Grove IL, Batavia, IL, and now Roscoe IL. My interests outside work are architecture (Frank Lloyd Wright), woodworking (building furniture).

Two Points: My guess is that 75% of table saw accidents happen to the left hand, because we are "trained" to watch the right hand. I would suggest every saw be supplied with a tight fitting bright red glove for the left hand as a reminder to watch out for it too.
posted: 10:16 am on February 24thPoint 2. Whenever the saw is tilted and and the blade is not viewable for whatever reason, extreme caution is required because you cannot tell where the blade will come out. This is a rare situation but it is an accident waiting to happen.
