Re: Wardrobe / Dressing Table

To ClassicCarp. I used 170 degree hinges at the very top corner on a slight angle pointing downwards towards the door. puts a little tension on the hinges so I used "wiggle board" rubber plywood veneered with 1/8" mdf (for smooth finish)to keep them as light as possible.

Re: Wardrobe / Dressing Table

Hey maurice! it's been a while I trust your doing well.
Yes I did epoxy and screwed from behind, they worked out well. I am just starting to build a kitchen using the same curve. It will have all drawers on the base cabinets and flip up doors for the uppers.

God bless, I'd like to see what your up to these days.

Re: Toolbox

Absolutely brilliant Joe, I just love it. It shows great craftsmanship and design, definitely something to be proud of.

Did you draw any plans by chance?

Re: Wardrobe / Dressing Table

I appreciate the comment, thanks. The cabinet with make up table runs floor to ceiling and is 11' long. I used 1/8" ply and a mdf skin for the drawers and doors. I bent each side all in one peice (4x8 sheet). I useed the sides of the cabinets as the templates for the curve. After the box's were built I laid the laminated sheets on top to aline the curve to the cabinet. Then cut the doors and drawers with a narrow blade to get nice fine lines.

It is finished with acrylic enamel. The side drawers that accomodate the make up station have compartments for hair blowers and curling irons, garbage pull out and the top side drawers are open on the sides to give easy access for her make up and brushes.

Thanks again for your comment.
