The essential workbench

I wantetd a solid workbench and started on the FWW essential, but it evolved and took up elements from other benches along the way. It's all I need from a bench: heavy, flat and with lots of options...

This side table with drawer was made from highly flamed birch. Quite difficult to work the flamed wood, but well sharpened handplanes did the job. The finish is tung oil.
