I have the Delta 10" and use it on very rare occasion for cross cut of long material or a 4 X 4. A quality sharp blade is a must. I have also used it with a sanding disc mounted in place of the blade. I would vote extinct, I would not throw mine out as space is not an issue it is placed between to workbenches and serves as a bench most of the time. I am quite aware of how dangerious it is and use it with extreme caution.
