What I don't know about finishing would fill a book twice this size. Consider me in the running.

Re: Simple Taper Jig

Beyond tapering, it should work equally as well as a guide for ripping stock that does not have a straight edge to ride along the fence. In this regard, it's limited by its length, but a longer, similarly constructed jig would work for longer pieces.
