I am an ameteur furniture maker as well as a forester. I attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology for Cabinetmaking and am now attending Pennsylvania College of Technology for Forestry. I have a small furniture business to which I primarily use organic finishes and materials. The majority of lumber that is used has been salvaged or was semi-rotten when taken to the mill. As a forester I support small logging opperation, however personally oppose clear cutting in harvest opperations.

This clock was made with Norway maple (Acer Platanoides) and Black walnut lip (Juglans nigra). The face was cut from 3/4"x 12"x 3" stock and was shaped with the bandsaw then the side and top edges...
