Re: How to Win $1.5-Million: Lessons from the Tablesaw Lawsuit
My initial reaction was much like others - what was the jury thinking? An individual or company (which is treated like an individual) needs to take responsibility for their actions. In this case, the employer was negligent in not properly training Mr. Osorio and by not mandating guard usage. Since TTI has much deeper pockets than the employer, I can see why the lawyers went after them.

I paid $450 for a saw that I like very much (Ridgid R4511 - another TTI product) and would definitely have been willing to pay another $200 to get the Saw Stop technology on this machine. I don't know the details of why the Ryobi negotiations fell apart, but I would urge all manufacturers to license this technology.
Why did it take so long for riving knifes to come to the USA?
Re: Woodworking Tips Have a New Home
Nice miter saw tip for someone with limited shop space. A link to a PDF file containing a summary of the Fast Fix would be nice for someone who collects and organizes such info on my computer.
