Re: cradle for grandchildern
I made a cradle several years ago and my wife wanted to make it an heirloom so we had a friend use her calligraphy skills to write the grand children's names on the bottom as well as their birth date. She had to prep the wood some how so the ink would not run. Yours is great.

This DVD would be the answer to my wife's desire to rid my bedside of a massive stack of magazines.

Re: Have you seen Tommy Mac's new woodworking show? Let us know what you think.
I enjoyed the show and I saved it to review again. This is exactly what I have done when I take on a project. The pace is rapid on the show and I think the hints on using the hand chisel were practical. I see that there are 6 episodes that are listed and 7 that are not listed yet. More emphasis on teaching manual techniques will enhance the program.

I have built a traditional wall mounted murphy bed in our guest bedroom but this video has given me some ideas about a design for a sofa table that I could make for one of my children.

I plan to build a dining room table in a long narrow area. This might have ideas that I can use to meet this need.

Six years is a long time on one piece. When I come home from my day job I might work on a project for a few hours but after a few weeks or maybe a month on the same project I become stale and frustrated at my slow pace. If something goes wrong I stomp my feet turn out the lights and go in the house. Congratulations on your committment to the highest quality and the determination to see this project to the finish.

There are ttraditional and modern ways of making a windsor chair. In July I am going to take a class to make one in a traditional fashon. This would be terrific to read before I go to the class.
