When am I going to win something?

Re: Dining Room Table: just in time for Thanksgiving

Thank You!

Re: UPDATED: What Tools Are on Your Holiday Wish List?

I don't want much. As long as I can plug it in, or sharpen it up, or hold it in my hand, or look at it on my tool rack; as long as I can do any of these, it will make a great Christmas gift for me.

Re: Kitchen Island of Reclaimed Lumber

I used two coats of a 1.5 pound cut of dewaxed blond shellac and three coats of watco's oil.

Re: UPDATE: Book Giveaway: Early American Country Furniture

Re: Book Giveaway: Fine Art of Carving Lovespoons

Here is my first carving project, thanks to T.J. Mcdermott and FW.

Re: Book Giveaway: Fine Art of Carving Lovespoons

Wow! This looks like a great book. I first carved after reading an article in FW (Letter Carving Basics by T.J. McDermott. It was a sign for our office. It took me about 100 hours to complete. A book on carving will further improve my knowledge, and therefore, my skills.

Re: Future Period Furniture Articles

Greene and Greene, I love the style and will give your writers ample material for joinery techniques. Thanks

Re: Walnut Chest

Sorry, I also forgot to ask you: What are the differences in the dynamics and strength of your corner, cross grain dovetails compared to a traditional dovetail cut from the end grain?

Re: Walnut Chest

The corner dovetails, were they more difficult to cut across the grain as shown compared to the more traditional end grain/ with grain dovetails?

Re: Wormy Chestnut Kitchen island

The black dots you see are worm holes. A chestnut blithe destroyed all the American Chestnut around the turn of the 20th century. These "wormy" dead trees were then used.

Re: mahogany box
