I love woodworking and cabinet building. However, I am remodeling a 1910 farmhouse, so I am doing a lot more construction and finish carpentry than the more fun projects for the next couple years...

Re: Showing Off Your SketchUp Inventory
This is a great way to design rooms. I have my entire house modeled in SketchUp. When I want to make a new piece or remodel a room (old farmhouse), I first make the furniture/built-ins/etc. then finish the room with utilities and the whole nine. I can then present this model to my wife for final approval before wasting time, energy and money on building something we may be less than thrilled with at the end. It also allows me to see how a piece may fit into the flow and feel of a room. It really helps the imagination to see the idea more clearly.

Re: IWF Alert: Router table systems shine at the show
What I don't understand... why not just buy a shaper? For $800 plus router and accessories, you could easily get a very nice 3hp shaper with a 1/2 collet for holding router bits???

Winner is correct. His typo hid his meaning, "If there are patent restrictions". The patent No. must be displayed on the plans for full damages to be awarded.

If I tried to reprint your plans and sell them as my own, then I would be in trouble.
Re: Still don't have a workbench? This one is easy
I have modeled this bench in Google Sketchup 7. It is a complete to-scale model with each individual piece formed as a component. I think it might be nice for others to be able to use the model. How can I get you the model so you can upload it to the article?
