Re: UPDATE: Wooden Boxes, by Doug Stowe and Strother Purdy

THIS YEAR WITH A FRIEND I HAVE TAUGHT 8 CLASSES ON HOW TO MAKE BOXES. IT WAS AT TWO LEVELS AND WE TAUGHT OVER 40 PEOPLE. DOUG STOW'S BOOKS ARE GREAT AND ANYONE CAN LEARN TO MAKE BOXES IF THEY FOLLOW EACH BOOK FROM THE BEGINNING MAKING EACH BOX. THANK YOU DOUG STOWE.

KNOW THE CONTEST IS OVER BUT WANTED YOU TO KNOW ANYWAY

Re: UPDATE: Read a review of Wooden Boxes by the giveaway winner

LOVE MAKING BOXES TO THE POINT THAT I AM NOW TEACHING OTHERS IN CLASSES FOR MY GUILD. THIS BOOK HAS BEEN ON MY WANT LIST SINCE I SAW IT ADVERTISED. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Re: UPDATE:French Polishing: Finishing and restoring using traditional techniques by Derek Jones

FROM SHOP CLASS IN THE EIGHTH GRADE I WAS AFRAID TO USE SHELLAC. I MUST HAVE HAD A POOR TEACHER BECAUSE TODAY I USE IT ALL THE TIME. THE ONLY THING I HAVE NOT REALLY DONE IS TO DO FRENCH POLISHING..
