Desk was made of alder with two coats of clear polyurethane for final finish.

Tool Chest for leather working tools. Made of Alder and Walnut. The top drawer features a removable tray for access to additional stamp storage below.
Craftsman Style Rocking Chair
This is the first complex project I have completed. Made entirely of walnut with leather seat. Construction includes 44 mortise and tenon joints and it was completed in two weeks. I...

It appears to me that the blade is stopped by making contact with the blade guard. This keeps your flesh away from the blade spinning blade and since it detects your flesh before getting to the blade it makes no difference if the blade travels approx 400 teeth before coming to a complete stop. A person would have to make an extra effort to get their pinkies into the blade with this system. I like the idea of the blade stopping without having to touch the blade....

Anyone that has made a business of designing and building unique pieces of turniture is definitely far more of an expert than most of us. I have submitted my most difficult project for critique and welcome any comment. Most preferable the negative comments as tney will provide the type of information I need to become a better furniture maker.

Having seen this table in person at the Texas Furniture Makers show it is truly a piece of art. The photos do not really show the beauty of the fine detailed work that went into making it. This is only one example of the work that Frank and others do at the CFEE School of Woodworking.
