Re: UPDATE: 2011 Fine Woodworking Archive DVD-ROM (1975 - 2011)

Sure would beat going through over two hundred issues to find something I need to know.

Re: Against the Grain: Bone-Headed Bandsawing

Ok here goes nothing.
# 1 Didn't brush teeth before sawing.
#2 No hat that says; FINE WOODWORKING
#3 Black knob not turned the right way
#4 No fingernail polish
#5 Clean shaved, ruining the image of a rough and tough woodworker.

Everything else looks OK. Its the way I re-saw, so it must be.

Re: We're Giving Away Grooving Planes!

Looks like a pushover plane to me.

Re: Has The Economy Tempered Your Tool Addiction?

Wonder how many people with a 3 or 4 thousand dollar tool investment just build bird houses?? More than most would suspect, I think.

Re: Problems with our air cleaner article

I considered My new Jet air filter a supplement rather than the main source of dust removal. I own an Odeina dust collector and was amazed at its efficient removal of fine dust. My vacuum has never collected hardly any sawdust since incorporating the Odeina into my dust collecting system. The article was remiss in mentioning this and I happy to see the correction.

Re: Making a Roubo Workbench: Part 2

I find a hand power planer made by Bosch or Makita works very well.

Re: Birdhouse

Any bird would feel like Bill Gates in this fine home. Kudos

Re: Mahoganny and Maple Hall Table

excellent look. kudos

Re: Rotary Gouge Holder

great idea.

Re: Craftsman Shelf/Bookcase

I'll bet that took awhile. Looks great. I've always wanted to build the arts and crafts four sided book table, but haven't had the energy to start, since the joinery is tedious like your bookcase. kudos on a well done bookcase.
