Re: Shaker end table with shelf
It's a beautiful piece! I found a similar piece on the Cape last year, pretty old and in poor shape, with two drop leaves and two 2 inch deep drawers. After restoring it I want to make another in cherry using the same leg design as yours, without the drop leaves but with the top extensions as you did. Thank you for the inspiration to do it. Doesn't cherry age well? Ernie White, a clock maker.

Your clock seems to be telling me to turn off the desktop and get to work. Great project!

Nice use of smaller cutoffs. Handsome!

Dear Huckleberry, I've made many nutcrackers using maple wooden threads with a cross grain internal thread, but your design looks more efficient and easier to use. Did you let your grandfather keep it? Bet you did!

Bano, clever design and well executed. Wish my imagination worked as well as yours.

A big dose of courage and a few more years in my shop! Always wanted to try to make one. Yours is gorgeous. Did you include the secret spaces?

Brian, I suppose you know that orchids always produce symmetrical blossoms. You sent a very good picture even though the subject was'nt made of wood. I'm impressed!

I wonder how the "gong' sounds. I've experimented with various coiled gongs, bells ,rods etc. for my clocks. I admire your wonderful imagination in this design! Often wish my mind could see outside the box. Thanks for showing.

After seeing the winners,I think I should sell my two lathes and tools. Such talent and execution of ideas is beyond any description I can make. Mr Wyko, your modesty is also very refreshing. Thankyou.
