I been a woodworker for 25 years and about 10 years ago I was cutting a small piece of wood and removed the safety features of my saw. I cut the tip of the middle finger when the wood got stuck and my first reaction was to reach for the wood. I never taught about suing the company that made the saw because I knew it was my fault for not following safety instructions. If you want a saw like the Sawstop then buy it for the added safety but if you don't then don't blame anyone but yourself. He should have sued the employer for not providing him with Sawstop not Ryobi.
