My first endeavor into musical instruments; and I can't play a note. Thanks to my son Matt for making the 5 month project worthwhile. We even hand cut all the frets and my biggest worry was that it wouldn't play a note when we were done, but my son says the scale is perfect! The neck is maple with a bubinga fingerboard. The body is fiddle-back maple with a hint of ambrosia. The finish is danish oil with a spray lacquer. LET'S ROCK!
