Inspired by the Alvar Aalto's tea carts from the 1940's. My client who is a designer came up with this design. The lamination were the most challenging part of this piece. 24 layers of 1/42" veneer was used to create the laminations. Quarter Sawn Figured Ash Veneer was used to construct the laminations, the removeable basket and the bottom of the lower tray.  Solid White Ash was used for the tray sides and handle.  The top tray has white glass mosaic tiles.  Brass Hardware was used.  The 14"Dia White wheels are painted MDF with edge banding.  Finished with Wiping Poly. 21"d x 35"w x 27"h

Design or Plan used: Nancy Watson.
