Tansu style jewelry box

This is a tansu inspired jewelry box for my niece's graduation/birthday present. Her Japanese middle name is carved into the earing drawer. The box is made of cherry with some baltic birch plywood as a secondary material. The ring pulls are handmade from brass with a black patina. The finish is shellac and wax.
