Cabinet for Heritage Edition of the Saint John's Bible

Photo: Photo by Wayne Torborg

This is a cabinet for the Saint John's Bible Project - the first hand written and illuminated bible commissioned by a Benedictine monastery in over 500 years. The cabinet is designed to house the Heritage Edition - the high quality facsimile copies of the original Saint John's Bible. It has 1 leather lined drawer for each of the 7 volumes as well as a commentary. The top portion has a leather book cradle under glass for long term display.

Sustainably harvested quarter sawn red oak, Welsh oak, ebony, leather, brass and glass.

Completed by Michael Roske
