Modification of the candle box I made in the Intro to Fine Woodworking workshop at NBSS. Slightly wider and longer, with stopped lid. Except for routing the lid and bottom grooves, all hand made from rough 4/4 cherry. Finished with tung oil.

The width and height were set just to get the max out of the wood I had at the time. The sides are 5/8 thick; the front and rear are 1/2; the top and bottom panels are also 1/2. The panel grooves are 1/4 x 1/4. I used 1:8 for the dovetails. The pin center spacing in the rear is 1 1/4 and the front is 1 1/16. Hope this gives you enough to get started. Good luck.
