Purple Heart Boxes

The boxes were for the parents of my son's troops in the 4th ID that were killed in combat in Iraq on his 2nd tour. The purple heart wood symbolizes their ultimate sacrifice. The coins were given to them by the commanders for outstanding service. Their dog tags were also inserted. I used a dovetail joint to assemble them.
