17th Century Lancaster County Tall Clock

This piece was inspired by Lonnie Bird.  I spent several months researching the clock using the resources of the Winterthur Museum.  Several changes were made in Mr. Bird's design to reflect what would have been built in the Lancaster County area c 1750-1780.

My thanks to Mr. Bird who took my call with a question, and Winterthur who could not have been more helpful!

Maridon Maridon writes: A great build. The clock turned out very good.

I too have built some copies of Lonnie Bird's clock and have since made modifications to get the look I wanted.

I love the tiger ample.

everybody everybody writes: I did not know Mr. Bird had a business. I called him with a question and thought he was going to bite my head off. Apparently you caught him on a good day or he was having a bad day when I called. All in all he does very nice work.
