This is my first real woodworking project in 2006 based on Garrett Hack's article in FWW #187. The wood is Cherry with Flamed Birch and Ebony. I did not have a jointer or planer at this time so all surfacing was done using hand planes. I made rectangular pulls to go with this piece in Ebony and did an 1/16" Ebony Inlay on the legs. Drawers are dovetailed and all other joinery is mortise and tenon. Finish is Oil and Shellac.

I would appreciate if maybe you could update your profile how you went about learning these things. Your joints appear all very perfect and tight and your finish appears extremely well done. In any case I am humbled and inspired.
