Worldwide Woodworking

I am excited to see that The Gallery is attracting accomplished woodworkers not just from the US, but from around the world. For example, this sideboard table was posted by bakbook (real name Benny Bentov,) an Israel-based builder. He chose Brazilian Nut to make this piece and the finish is linseed and tung oil. It is a case study in simplicity--simple dimensions, straight lines, understated pulls. The subtle touches enhance the character of the wood.
Bakbook's site has some great pieces. Take a look at bakbook.50webs.com

Thank you for your insigtfull comment. I cherish and draw inspiration from your attention to my work. I try to make a living out of a very limited apportunity. The appreciation of fine craftmanship and durable design is limited in a small comunity as Israel.Thank you again. Benny.
