If you're looking for design inspiration, or just want to bear witness to intense dedication to the craft of woodworking, check out the latest exhibit at the Messler Gallery at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine. The exhibition, "Celebrating the Studio Fellowship," opens Feb. 20 and highlights work from current and former participants in the Fellowship Program of the CFC. The program accepts six artists at a time, with terms from a month to a year, who share free workshop space at the school to explore and push the boundaries of woodworking design.
The opening reception is on the 20th, from 5 to 7 p.m., and the exhibit runs until April 17. If you can't make the journey to the school, you can see the exhibit online at www.woodschool.org, photos coming soon: http://www.woodschool.org/gallery/index.html.
