MAPLE SWINGING CRADLE

This swinging cradle is made from western maple. It has flame, spalting and bird's eye throughout the piece. The basic design is from a set of plans but I changed the size and shape of the rails and stiles. It swings on ball bearings and has a built in "lock" to prevent it from swinging. The whole cradle was sanded to 320 grit, then hand rubbed with Howard's Feed n Wax untill it would not absorb anymore wax. It was then buffed by hand.
