Large Humidor
comments (0) January 23rd, 2009 in Reader's Gallery
This large humidor is made from Babinga, Black Walnut, Spanish Cedar and Spalted Maple. I found the Spalted Maple on Saltspring island just off of Vancouver island in British Columbia. The verneer is shop cut and I used accent wood keys for jointery. The Black Walnut Base is lap jointed. The box is finished in 8 layers of satin Lacquer and the inside Spanish Cedar is seasoned with distilled water to create humidity for the cigars.
